Introduction

My name is Jillian Curcio and I am currently a Junior at SUNY New Paltz. This blog is a platform to share what I am learning and researching in regards to Deaf education.

Our Mission

My mission is to look into different Deaf education methods and environments. There are many different opinions on how deaf students should be taught. This blog serves as a 15 week project at the end of which a hypothetical classroom will be created with all the philosophies and methods previously researched in mind. I myself was born with binaural sensorineural hearing loss. I am using this blog as a space to discuss my experience in education as well as look at how deaf educators of the future can better serve their students.
